Traditional use:
Large versions of the bayong or the Dusun donnax lidded rice baskets held up to seven gantang of husked rice. Also used to store padi seeds for next year's planting.
Contemporary use:
Since it is not varnished, it's great as a kitchen container or hold-all. Larger versions are great as decor.
